SerpGlow
AI Visibility Tracker for Brands
Quick backstory: I run a small B2B SaaS and noticed something weird. We rank well on Google for our key terms, but when I asked ChatGPT "what's the best tool for [our category]," we didn't show up at all. Our competitor did.
That got me thinking - how many potential customers are asking AI assistants for recommendations instead of Googling? Turns out, a lot. ChatGPT alone has 200M+ weekly active users now.
So I started manually checking what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity say about different brands. The results were surprising:
- Google rankings and AI recommendations are completely different things
- Each AI platform has its own biases (Claude favors detailed docs, Perplexity pulls from recent content, Gemini leans on Google's knowledge graph)
- Sentiment matters more than just being mentioned
The manual process took forever though. Checking 15 prompts across 4 platforms = 2+ hours every time. And responses change constantly with model updates.
So I built SerpGlow to automate this. You set up your brand and target keywords, and it queries all 4 AI platforms on a schedule. You get:
- An AI Visibility Score across all platforms
- Platform-by-platform breakdown
- Sentiment tracking (positive/negative/neutral)
- Competitor comparison (Share of Voice)
- Trend data over time
Tech stack: Next.js, PostgreSQL, Clerk auth, deployed on Railway. The AI queries go through each platform's API (Vertex AI for Claude/Gemini, OpenAI API, Perplexity API).
Currently at 2 users (just launched last week). Free tier includes ChatGPT monitoring with up to 10 keywords.
Would love feedback from the IH community:
1. Does this problem resonate with you? Do you check what AI says about your product?
2. What would make you pay for this vs doing it manually?
3. Any features you'd want to see first?
Check it out at serpglow.com if you're curious. Happy to answer any questions about the build.
About
I noticed that millions of people now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity for product recommendations instead of Googling. But most brands have zero visibility into what AI platforms say about them. I built SerpG
