Easily keep track of vehicle services, breakdowns, etc.
I realised I needed a break; while this is meant to get somewhere it's also meant to be relaxation. So I went and completed Today I Will - it was also really good to get something completed for a change, usually I stall partway through.
From my experience with TIW I'm thinking of moving at least the auth part of this to Firebase, it just makes it so easy to work with. I'd like to move the data store as well but I'm wary of just changing things as a substitute for actually doing the harder work!
Since I haven't updated this for over a year it's going to be a condensed view. :-)
I've written the backend and frontend, both of them two or three times over. I've now learnt enough JavaScript that the current iteration is actually promising.
Both are deployed, though definitely not consumer-ready right now. The tests and CI/CD have been useful, especially for the backend. I'm a bit lax on writing the frontend tests, which I need to improve on. Currently working on making the onboard/subscribe/welcome flow actually, well, flow! Right now it's ... not very friendly at all.

I've read so many times that you should solve your own problem; I started making a list of ideas. It took ages to actually get to a point where I started noticing things that didn't exist, or could be done better, but eventually I had one that seemed worth pursuing!

Several reasons - I'd find the service useful; I find building something concrete to be the best way to learn new skills, and the entire web stack is new to me. I'm hopeful it'll maybe someday at least pay for itself.

Hi! It looks like the site is down or having a too many times redirect issue
Sorry, that was me messing something up in the web server configuration. :-) It should be available now. The site itself actually functions now, it's just the "why you should use it" text that I'm having trouble/putting off writing! Thanks for trying it. :-)
