Hit Our First Big Episode

We've been relatively inconsistent with publishing, but we finally hit our first big episode: Does Marriage, Retirement, or the 40-Hour Work Week Still Make Sense?

Prior to this episode, we were seeing a couple hundred downloads per episode. This episode saw nearly 2k downloads in its first 7 days. The best part was that the baseline increased significantly after that.

See the data here!

What drove that success? We experimented with this approach on Twitter:

Twitter hates links, so we tweet about an episode topic, without a link to the episode. Something bold or that solicits a response.

In some cases, like this one, they will indeed go viral. A few hours later or the next day, the episode link is added, like so.

In this case, the approach brought in 1300 listens directly from Twitter.
