Share a Coffee

After just over a week and Share a Coffee has 50 subscribers.

I've featured 7 different creators and am looking forward to a lot more.

Relying on a single nomination chain is not going to work

The goal was always to get at least a week ahead on content but, understandably, people take a few days to get back to me with bios.

So I started a second chain with Veni and will probably start 2 or 3 more. That will let me get ahead but also expand out into other communities so there's variety in the types of creators.

Started a #buildinpublic thread for the newsletter yesterday.
Got a simple landing page launched at https://shareacoffee.com.

MailerLite is setup with a welcome email automation and I've sent the link to a few friends and posted it in some communities.

The first creator submitted their bio and their nomination so issue #1 is locked in.

I saw a tweet from JanelSGM about encountering her first hater on IH. The outpouring of support inspired me to do the same thing for other creators. The idea is to feature one creator daily, buy them a coffee, and turn that into a newsletter.

The newsletter itself will accept donations in the form of coffees but those will all be paid out to creators in some way. If the balance goes too far positive I'll get more aggressive about giving out coffees. 😉

I spoke with a few friends over DM including Janel herself and they all like the idea.
