Sharebox
Truly collaborative inboxes for Google Workspace
When I switched jobs from a Microsoft 365 environment to Google Workspace, I quickly noticed a recurring theme: people kept asking me "how do we do shared inboxes here?" Support teams, ops teams, anyone used to Outlook's shared mailboxes was lost.
The answer, frustratingly, was that there wasn't a native equivalent in Gmail. Google Groups can handle shared email, but there's no way to manage that correspondence inside Gmail itself — no assignment, no statuses, no visibility for the team.
So I built Sharebox.
It brings shared inbox functionality directly into the Gmail UI, powered by Google Groups. Your team can see group correspondence, assign conversations, and update statuses — without leaving Gmail or adopting a whole new tool.
I just launched and I'm looking for honest feedback — especially from anyone running support or ops on Google Workspace. Does this solve a problem you've had? What's missing? What would make it a no-brainer for your team?
Happy to answer any questions about how it works or how I built it.

Switching from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, I was constantly asked "where are the shared inboxes?" Teams used to Outlook had no equivalent in Gmail. So I built Sharebox. Powered by Google Groups.
