Sharelo
A video-centered stroy marketing tool for business
After long-term development and multiple small pivots, Sharelo is finally live on ProductHunt:) This is my first launch on ProductHunt.
I've been checking ProductHunt for years. (I studied my X history and found I kept checking it for at least the last 5 years.) and saw many shiny new apps and startups I admire launched there.
Although many may recognize ProductHunt as a mere marketing channel, some say it has already lost momentum compared with before. Launching on ProductHunt has been kind of my dream. I am super excited that our product is listed today😃
Thanks for reading, and I highly honor your support and feedback on Sharelo!
After I launched the beta version, I talked with potential customers and added several functionalities like video narration, story branching, analytics, and website embedding. So, I'm pretty content with the result of the dev side.
However, because I was not spending a lot of time on the marketing side and building in a public way seems to take time to bloom, and many say I should spend more time on marketing and talk to more potential customers because the service is good enough.
So, I decided to work on cold outreach. This is the first time I do cold outreach in English, (I have experience in Japanese) so a bit nervous but excited to see the result.
Since I incorporated through Firstbase.io and Zendesk and Apollo.io offers generous discounts. (Zendesk is free for 6 months.) I'm gonna use those tools to do prospecting.
I plan to write a sequence of articles about what I do and the outcome.

Good breakdown. One thing worth adding for anyone landing here in June 2026 - there are a few community-specific codes that stack on top of the current sale and give an extra 20% off:
BUILDERSNEST - all hosting plans + website builder
VPSNEST - VPS hosting + OpenClaw AI
VIBECODERSNEST - Hostinger HorizonsHostinger's current sale is already ~80% off, so with these codes you're hitting close to 90% total. Apply at checkout. These come from a hosting community I run so they're kept updated.

Warning: what I am about to share with you are Cold Outreach tactics. There may be a better channel strategy for you for this stage of growth (e.g., giving talks, writing guest posts, emailing people you have relationships with, attending conferences, etc.), but that’s a story for another time. With that out of the way, here are some Cold Outreach tactics I haven’t seen anyone else mention in this comment section:
-
Use a separate sending domain for your Cold Outreach campaign (e.g., shareloapp.co or shareloapp.io). This is a safeguard in case your email address gets blacklisted.
-
Set up your email authentication records. Here are instructions for Google Workspace (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC). This will improve your email deliverability.
-
Warm up your email address with a tool like Auto-Warmer (free) or MailWarm (paid). This will raise your reputation score so you can end cold emails at scale.
Bonus: This is anecdotal evidence, but I’ve noticed I am more likely to respond to a cold email if I’ve seen the sender’s name, logo, or content before. So while you’re waiting for your email address to “warm up,” you can pre-target your prospects with social and display ads. Alternatively, you can engage (like, comment, follow) with them on social media if your budget is tight. If you do this correctly, you will likely increase your open and reply rates.

When you say use different domains like shareloapp.co or shareloapp.io then can we just use one server and multiple domains? Should I redirect shareloapp.co or shareloapp.io to shareloapp.xyz and also use email forwarding for the same?

Good question!
This is one of the reasons I never purchase shared hosting for my domains. Other websites may or may not get blacklisted, which can affect your deliverability.
That said, if you decide to stick with shared hosting, get a dedicated IP Address for each domain at the very minimum. You can do this by purchasing a VPS.
Also, you can redirect traffic from shareloapp.co or shareloapp.io to your primary domain, but this is a short-term solution (i.e., treating the symptom, not the root cause).
Your best bet is to avoid getting blacklisted altogether.
- Carefully curate your email list / be very wary of purchasing email lists.
- Don't violate the rules of consent (e.g., GDPR) and give them the option to opt out.
- Don't just copy and paste cookie-cutter email templates you find on the web.
- Avoid spammy words in the subject line, pre-header text, and body copy.
- Make the emails relevant to the recipient. Get to know their needs and pains.
- Regularly remove old / uninterested email addresses from your list.
- Don't spam recipients by sending too many emails or following up too often.

I have followed exactly what you had said in your previous comment. I have bought trymyapp.xyz which redirects to myapp.com but on DNS health I see it shows me trymyapp.xyz already in blacklist section why so? I have not even sent a single email. Is it because of .xyz ?? Can we continue this discussion on twitter DM or email?

Hmmm, I'm not sure.
Perhaps the domain was blacklisted before you purchased it?
If I were you, I would reach out to your Domain Name Registrar / Web Hosting Provider and ask them what's going on with the new domain you purchased.
They can answer any questions you have better than I can.

If we go with shared domains with single mail server then if one domain is blacklisted will it impact entire mail server having multiple domains?

How can we check if email is blacklisted or email reputation is decreased?

Beware: most free auto warmup tools actually hurt your deliverability paradoxically. If you're not planning huge numbers right away, you don't need warmup. I did this with gmass and I regret it so much

Hmmm, interesting observation.
What tool did you use to check that your reputation score was negatively impacted?
I can only speak to my experience, but I've used MailWarm in the past with great success. That said, you are 100% right about not needing to "warm up" your email address if you're only going to send a handful of cold emails here and there.

I have sent over 50k emails so far and I can say if you do not personalize your outreach, it won't work.
That's why I have built Nureply for auto generating icebreakers! Take a look: https://nureply.com
Let me know if you need further help!

Really nice iniciative Atsuhiro, cold outreach is something that needs a good resilience to keep the pace.
By experience, I really recommend a multitouch approach and first nurture you lead. Use linkedIn, email, phone. Try to nurture with some useful informations (Not selling) before your do your first call. Then after the lead know more about or at least know the name of your company, call them. This can increase a lot the number of conversion.Good luck.

Cold outreach is really a tough nut to crack since there are a lot of aspects that may influence the success of its outcome. Excited to learn about your way there.

Sales Navigator is free for 1 month, and I find it very useful for direct contact. Also good for multiple touch points

Email marketing has low conversations but if one has an intersting pitch it works. Define ICP well and do email marketing on a small targeted list. Likedin outreach works as well. I heard the best building in public story today by a lady called Marie from Lama life https://twitter.com/mehulagarwal7/status/1559360623401586688?s=21&t=_lY87hUYQwgEhECk0GXUqw
I’m building a health tech company called health compiler (www.healthcompiler.com) and I’m planning to start the build in public myself

Hey Atsuhiro, thanks for sharing, I have just subscribed to your waitlist! Here is a tool that I have developed and that might help you in your cold outreach efforts: https://bit.ly/3c1qgZZ
One think that made all the difference for us was to add icebreakers to our cold outreach. It makes the message so more personnalized that just "Hey first name".-

Hi Alex, auto-generated ice breaker sounds nice, I'm now sending emails but personalization is the most time-consuming and difficult part.

Thanks! I also found a Twitter email finder and am interested in it. I like to know the outcome of twitter outreach, too.

I hit upon the idea of Sharelo September, 2021. After a long time and pivoting from team communication tool to sales marketing tool. It is almost ready for the beta launch!
Although I'm from Japan and know the Japanese market better. I decided to focus more on the global market. The reason is we are trying to sell the service with a product-led growth strategy at least at first and Japan's not so ready for product-led growth because Tokyo is too convenient.
Although the product is ready to use, it still needs improvement. So, I plan to talk with many sales, marketing, or customer success-related professionals to get feedback.
This is my first SaaS project and it is true that I'm nervous to start but I'm also excited to start!

1. I always had difficulty with doing sales and marketing for my web services. 2. I worked as a sales rep for 2 years and knew the importance of building trust with leads through constant contact.
