I had a lot of success with free tools on other side projects, so continuing this trend here.

We hope to attract some people who want to learn Excel shortcuts. Ideally those people want to hire other people around Excel and discover our tool that way.

We have now created a solutions page showcasing how SheetsInterview can work to hire:

We hope to derive some SEO value from that and make sure the product is attractive to some target users.

June 6, 2023 Opened Signup

Today, we have opened up SheetsInterview to the public. People can start signing up without any requirement currently to check out the look & feel of SheetsInterview.

We have added a catalogue of some questions but mostly listen to user feedback to add more Excel tasks.

May 16, 2023 Started the project

The first commit. We started the repository and started coding a basic MVP to make interviewing for Excel/Google Sheets easier.

We started with a simple boilerplate and shipped a really really basic MVP without a lot of template tasks or anything else.

I was surprised to find no good solution to hiring people with Excel skills. In the programming world, there are HackerRank, Codility, and many more interviewing platforms. For Excel and Google Sheets: Nothing!
