ShortcutCast
Keyboard shortcuts you never have to memorize
Hey everyone,
I just launched ShortcutCast, a desktop app for people who can never remember keyboard shortcuts. That's me, basically.
I'd been eyeing a Stream Deck for a while but didn't want another gadget on my desk, so I built the software version instead. You hit one key, a grid pops up like a cheat sheet, and each icon is its own key. Press the icon's key and the shortcut runs. Nothing to memorize, you just look and press. The same grid can also fire AI prompts, launch apps, and run macros.
It's a one-time $39.99 with no subscription, mostly because I'm tired of renting software and figured I'm not the only one. It runs on both Mac and Windows, and I wrote it in Rust so it stays fast and out of the way. There's a free tier too if you want to poke at it first (2 contexts, 8 actions).

Would love feedback, especially from anyone who's used Raycast, Alfred, or a Stream Deck. What made you stick with or drop those? And does buy-once vs subscription actually matter to you, or am I overthinking it?
About
I could never remember keyboard shortcuts. I wanted a Stream Deck without the extra hardware, so I built ShortcutCast: hit a key, a cheat-sheet grid pops up, and each icon is its own key. Press it, the shortcut runs.
