Signal Flare
Let your analytics tell your story
What do you do when your minimal viable product is too minimal to be viable? Well, you get to work and build version 2.0!
This time around Signal Flare has all the most requested new features: support more tools, organize your notes with colors, clickable annotations, markdown support, and an improved onboarding experience.
If you haven't seen Signal Flare recently, now is the time to check us out: https://signalflare.app

And now the real work begins.
As a technical founder I've always found it comfortable to spend my days in the code. Building products is exactly what I was meant to do.
But there are two jobs in every new business: building and selling. So now I leave the safety of my expertise and venture out into the unknown as a novice marketer. Wish me luck.
Signal Flare: Let your analytics tell your story.
When your client, your boss, or you team is looking at Google Analytics or Search Console they are doing so without any context. The charts appear as random noise and they become anxious.
You can ease their stress by labeling the charts with important indicators that explain why the data appears the way it does. Now everyone has the shared context to interpret the charts and make better decisions, faster.
You'll keep your clients, bosses, and teams happier about the analytics by giving them the insights they need to understand the charts on their own.

Signal Flare is now freely available to everyone. We're still adding some core features but the MVP is quite usable in single player mode.
Our Private Beta Program brought in many useful discoveries and the changes we made along the way now make Signal Flare quite easy to use.

The core product is ready for some real users to get their hands dirty. We're rolling out invites to our waiting list and hope to get some much needed usability information. Does it work on all browsers? Is the UI intuitive enough to be fully self service? Where are the hidden bugs?
We're going to find out...

Using the Mom Test methodology and our POC tech demo we learned that SEO Marketing Agencies are a great place to start looking for customers. And Data Scientists seem rather bored with the idea.
With our waiting list now over 100 people it's time to start building the real product....

A technological demonstration proves out all the risky aspects of the endeavor. Can we achieve the visual effects we imagined during the A Ha! moment?
Turns out that yes we can. It's difficult but all worthwhile things are.
Armed with a POC we start the customer interview process to gauge interest and focus in on the core product features.

While helping another founder troubleshoot their Google Analytics, was struck by a bolt of lightning. The "A Ha!" moment had arrived.
When going back months in your analytics it's terribly difficult to remember the marketing activity that produced the spikes and dips in the charts. We need a way to catalog our activity and see those annotations automatically in our Google Analytics.
That's the idea.
