Silverdial
No more lonely old people
Since my post on HN blew up I have had over 30 people apply to be callers in the Silverdial network. I am screening every single one of them to make sure they are qualified to get on the phone with the elderly and have engaging conversations.
Tonight I had my first few interviews. One no, one yes and one no show! It was awesome meeting all of these people - 4 more tomorrow and three more on Thursday.
Also, we got our first inbound customer interest! Sent an automated onboarding email which includes the payment link to subscribe but no sale yet. Fingers are crossed that this lead converts.
Hey everyone - first update here on HN. Yesterday was an absolute whirlwind of a day for Silverdial! I started prototyping around 9am PST and had a finished landing page by noon. I used a combination of no code tools (Typedream, Notion and Chilipepper forms) to make this all come to life. I have a Zapier integration between Notion and Mailchimp that is now handling all of the automated email campaigns when a caller registers.
The next step is going to be finding elderly folks that want to talk to my callers once a week! Customer acquisition!

Many old folks lack any social interaction at all in their day. The global pandemic only made things worse. Silver dollar solves this problem by pairing callers with elderly individuals for one 30 minute call a week.
