App for Medical Staff Credentialing
After growing the startup for about 5 years, we got acquired by a large public healthcare staffing company.
Looking back, it was a long journey that felt like it went by in a blink of an eye. All the highs and lows (on the personal level and with the business), the unsung 14 hour days, the major and minor pivots...all worth it.
In 2016, Techstars did a joint venture accelerator program with Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, so we decided to join.
We didn't do it so much for the seed capital. We mainly found tremendous value getting access to both Cedars and the Techstars global network.

One of the founders came up with idea of an app to find and hire doctors-on-demand (aka Uber for doctors).
We built an MVP, tried to sell it through to local healthcare facilities, and realized this was not a good idea. Hiring doctors is a lot more complicated than that.

Are there any more details you can share? I would love to know more! How big did you get? How did you manage to get acquired? Are you free now, or are you staying on with the new company?
Congratulations!
