Simple Silo
Web hosting on AWS made simple
I received exciting news that Simple Silo was accepted into Y Combinator Start Up School. My motivation and enthusiasm was through the roof and I felt a sense of validation for my efforts from one of the very best on the startup scene.
With a product name, domain and solid purpose for existing, the first version of simple silo is released. They say if you are not ashamed of your first product version then you released too late. I was ashamed but V1 was shipped and with that came some momentum to carry on.

After many months of indie hacking, I found myself repeating the same pattern when it came to deploying the front end static site of my apps. I use AWS to host my apps and I always go through the multiple steps required to create an ssl-enabled bucket backed by a CDN to host each environment of my app e.g (staging, production). There had to be better way, but there wasn't so I decided to build one.

The current process of setting up hosting on AWS is simply tedious and error prone. I created Simple Silo to fix that by automating the underlying configuration allowing developers to quickly set up web hosting on AWS.
