SimpleFit Tracker
Minimalist iOS workout calendar. No subscription.
SimpleFit Tracker is live on the App Store. Native iOS 18+ workout calendar, $5 one-time, no subscription.
The journey:
- Started as a side project to fix my own frustration with workout apps
- December 2025: First real workout logging flow in SwiftUI
- February 2026: HealthKit integration, iCloud sync working
- March 2026: Beta with friends, iterated on UX
- April 2026: First App Store submission
- May 2026: Apple rejected twice, then approved May 9
- May 15: Marketing page polished, SEO set up, launch day
Tech stack: SwiftUI, SwiftData, CloudKit, HealthKit, StoreKit 2, WidgetKit. Made in Switzerland under TEKNEIO.
Pricing model: 7-day free trial, then $5 one-time. No subscription. No login required. Data stays on device with iCloud sync between user's own devices.
What I learned:
1. Native iOS is undervalued for indie devs. SwiftUI + SwiftData is fast to build with.
2. Apple App Review is brutal but catches legit issues. Both rejections were fair (IAP metadata, screenshot pricing).
3. Marketing page does more conversion work than App Store ads at this stage.

What's next:
- V1.0.2 with in-app review prompt (next 2 weeks)
- Android port via Kotlin (estimated 4-5 weeks)
About
Every workout app I tried was overengineered or a subscription trap. I built SimpleFit as a calendar-first tracker. No login, no subscription, no tracking. Solo iOS build, 4 months, made in Switzerland.
