Simplenet Hosting

My name is Andrei, and I am the co-owner and co-founder of Simplenet.

I started the adventure of entrepreneurship in August 2007 together with my wife. I was working in sales at that time, selling computers, servers and datacenter solutions.

My boss wanted to focus on B2B, so I got the idea of making a website to sell to B2C myself, acting as a reseller of the company I was working for.

We had $500 saved, my mother-in-law gave us another $500, and so we started. We bought a license for an e-commerce platform, got a hosting account, a domain name, opened an LLC, and just went at it.

I handled the tech part and the suppliers, while my wife handled the orders processing, invoicing and shipping.

By the end of the year we had a revenue of about $15,000, but our profit was roughly $100.

I knew we couldn't go on like this, and it was time to change something.
