Simple website performance monitoring

Visit Website
November 17, 2020 🔥Crossed 50 customers after 3 months of launch!

Usually B2B growth is very slow and I have read lot of stories where it took people around an year to gain traction.

I think I have been lucky so far to have these many customers in such a short period.

Simple Ops is already crossed breakeven as is profitable now. Next goal is to reach 100 customers probably in next few months.

November 9, 2020 ✨Launched Simple Ops 2.0 on PH

Since launch, it's grown to 1400+ users and 50+ customers. Now i have added the most requested feature API & Server monitoring.

Whether you’re a developer, non-technical business owner or just handling a personal website, adding Simple Ops can be the simplest & most effective way to keep your API's and servers healthy.

There’s nothing quite as frustrating as your favorite website going down. Simple Ops monitors websites like yours and sends you alerts via text or email if your site is offline or slow, so you can fix the problem before anyone notices.

I would really appreciate it if you can check it out and review it on ProductHunt. If you like it and think it's useful, do share it with your friends and colleagues and help me spread the word.

November 2, 2020 Added API monitoring - most requested featured

It's been almost 3 months are have crossed 1300 users mark. Also, I have been working hard to add the most requested feature for Simple Ops.

The new features that I have added are

  • API monitoring
  • Server Monitoring
  • Add Subdomain monitoring
  • Added Options for Status Code, Http request types, timeout
  • Mobile Performance monitoring
  • Choose Ping interval and monitoring locations for location

Now you can monitor websites, APIs and servers all from one place!

If you haven't already, you can monitor websites and get real-time alerts for FREE using https://simpleops.io/

August 20, 2020 Crossed 1000 users in 6 weeks

When I first decided to build simpleops.io, I set a goal of getting 10K users. Six weeks into it I have completed 10% of that goal. Yay! 😎

From what I gather from my fellow indie makers is that SaaS is hard.
Relativel difficulty in building different types of product
EBooks < Course < B2C < B2B

I'm completely new to B2B market, even though the market is small, its a niche and has huge potential.

Hopefully i will reach the 5K milestone soon!

Congrats! 1000 users are great! What customer acquisition strategy is working out for you?

  2. 2

Awesome, congrats! I checked your stats, do you know why traffic spiked on July 19th?

  3. 2

Congrats - 1,000 users is amazing!

  4. 2

Hi great achievement, @1hakr. I am also working on similar idea, but unable to gather any traction whatsoever. Can you give some feedback. ?

Your webpage is much duller compared to OPs. Just copy his style and approach. I suspect OP is also good at marketing and writing.

      1. 2

Thanks for the feedback. I will improve it. OP I have a vague feeling is inflating numbers.

    2. 2

How are you trying to sell it? Also, why don't you mention your pricing on the landing page? that way visitors will get a sound idea of what it will be costing them like.

      1. 1

Thanks for the feedback @aminmemon . I will add pricing. Didn't add till now as I haven't been able to generate any interest. I am still questioning the desirability of my product.

  5. 2

Hey @1hakr, that is a huge achievement, big congrats to you! 👏
Mind if I ask you what you used for the early bird pricing popup?

Keep up the great work—to 10K users and onwards!

      Thanks mate

Congrats! Dashboard looks simple and clean! Love it :)

P.S. It seems that you have made a typo in your url in your post.

    1. 1

      Thanks, fixed it.

  7. 2

How did you manage to get those? paid ads or word of mouth?

    1. 2

I have never done paid ads! Everything is organic traffic.

      1. 2

        Thanks for your response.

  8. 1

    How many are paid?

  9. 1

It seems like I'm seeing tons of these style of saas businesses pop up. Do you think the market is saturated?

  10. 1

That is an awesome number! Congrats, having two hits like Visa List and this one in a row is really uncommon, I'm impressed.

But I don't agree with your difficulty scale.

Imho, B2C is way harder than B2B mainly because:

    • B2C products are hard to monetize, people are so used to free product that it's hard to make them pay
    • Paid acquisition is almost impossible if you're not venture-backed
    • Most of B2C products are <10$ per account, which mean that to just reach $3k MRR you'd need 300 customers and all the support that goes with it.

Also, I think focusing on the user number could be a bad idea.

In the end, you want customers, not users, and focusing on the latter can make you take bad decisions. Been there, done that 🙈

    Congrats @1hakr ! that's awesome!

Is it all coming from LTDs or were there any recurring sales too?
Have you estimated how much those LTDs will cost you in infra cost over the next months/years?

    Congrats 👌🥳👍

If you are viewing in incognito, you will see these errors. View it normally.

          1. 2

That's $233 per customer. Not bad! Better than some people LTVs!

Not really, Simple Ops is not an APM and it doesn't require any setup.

July 11, 2020 🔥 50 users in 2 weeks even before launch 🔥

I have started working on SimpleOps 5 weeks back and was done with the beta version last week. I'm yet to do a product launch and as its a complicated product, im running it in beta.

So how did this happen? How do you get your initial users? Its actually something everyone knows but only few actually do. Talk about your product even if its not 100% ready, tell what you doing differently. This also acts as a feedback loop and validation for the things that you are building.

All this while i have been tweeting about the new features, design and everything that i have been doing for Simple Ops. A lot of people liked this and signed for Simple Ops. This reconfirms my assumption. Performance is pain point to a lot for a lot of makers and I'm going to fix that pain by simplifying #DevOps

These are the features that i talked about when i was working on them and this helped a lot.

While i was trying to measure performance for Visa List, i found all the solutions are paid or just uptime monitoring, so i decided to build one for free with performance and uptime monitoring.
