February 21, 2020 Updates to our API schema

We've just launched an update to our address verification schema. In order to make it more useful to our users, we've added a couple of new data points. The most notable are:

  • latitude / longitude
  • timezone
  • address normalization

We're trying to bring the most value to our customers, this is a step in bringing our users the most info we can related to their addresses.

We've now added the ability for users to sign in or register using their Google accounts. We are trying to remove every barrier to signing up! We've also removed the need to add a credit card to sign up. Now all you need is your e-mail and you can get started right away.

January 23, 2020 Beta launch!

We have officially reached beta!!! SimplShip is officially in the wild and we're so excited to share this awesome tool with e-commerce platforms! We've initially launched with 2 API's around address and location data for companies that do a lot of shipping.

Our first API is address validation, you can verify an U.S. based address and ensure that it is an actual address according to the U.S.P.S.

Our second API is address auto-completion. This exists to help your mobile users, because it's a MAJOR pain to have to type out your address on your phone. It's also easy to mistype something.

We have sooooo much more coming soon around shipping API's and tools for e-commerce companies!

About

I have worked on a lot of e-commerce platforms and see the need for customers to verify their addresses. As more and more users ship things, the amount of lost packages continues to climb. We exist to reverse that trend.
