Single Story
The one news story that matters most, straight to your inbox
Indie Hackers products don't have a place for GitHub links, so I guess this will have to suffice.
Single Story is released under an MIT license. You can get the complete source code here.
Being new to Product Hunt (and Indie Hackers for that matter), I thought I'd test the waters with an existing project—it's new to everyone else, after all.
Single Story seemed like a good fit, so I quickly put together a PH post, and didn't think much more of it.
It didn't exactly set the world on fire, but 30-something upvotes later, Single Story is on the brink of its 100th sign-up. I like that it's helping other people, no matter how modestly.
Also, I don't want it to become too successful—the Mailgun bill would kill me.

A while back I was struggling to strike a balance between being an informed citizen, and spending every waking moment exclaiming "WTF NOW?!". The current news cycle can be a little overwhelming, to say the least.
After swearing off news altogether for a couple of months, I suddenly found myself with enough free time to build a more sustainable solution. That eventually became Single Story.
I found it really useful, so I decided to tidy up the UI a little, and release it as an open source product.
