On-demand clothing & product printing for designers
A comment on my previous milestone gave me a reminder that I'd not put up a holding page. As the title of the product here is also the domain name, I did actually need something in place.
I added a Mailchimp form on the off-chance that someone wants notifying about launch, although I don't expect much traffic currently.
Big love to Carrd for the quick setup!
The integration with the printing API is pretty much complete in terms of product selection & listing.
I'm now moving into product mockup generation and file upload / validation. As I go further into the development, more and more 'features' appear that I wasn't accounting for, but seem to be important! For example, I wasn't even aware that a mockup generator API existed - so deciding on whether this makes it into MVP is important as it might add another week of dev time.

What mockup API did you decide to go with? or did you decide to use one?

I used https://mockflow.com - you get 3 pages on the free plan which is perfect for this use case.
They have a load of pre-made components from various frameworks: Bootstrap, Foundation etc etc.

Hey, the project url doesn't seem to be working.
I know this is against general advice when creating a new idea, but I couldn't resist.
Used the super-useful Namecheap Logo Generator earlier and came up with a nice simple logo.
What's great is that it also includes a few platform mockups and a the start of a colour scheme, which I'd have never thought of myself, so bonus!

I've just started prototyping some basic features for the MVP.
My first goal is to build an intuitive explorer component for the products that are available for printing on. I have an API endpoint for this so it's just a case of sorting through the data now.
Nerd notes:
I'll be looking at using the JAMStack to build with, as this will be a mix of a couple of APIs and the odd Lambda function.
I also want to increase exposure and knowledge of VueJS so have started with Gridsome (https://gridsome.org/) which also makes use of GraphQL

An existing, proven market. Other printing sites have a minimum order quantity, or a really poor user experience.

When you're adding a payments flow to your website consider https://www.bankpayments.net. Base pricing is more competitive than PayPal and even Stripe. And I'm sure we can do you a deal on the monthly fees as well :)
If you just have questions to see if BankPayments.net is right for you. Give me a shout or use the chat widget on our website. Also, if we're not right for you, let us know why. Any feedback is appreciated.
Cheers
