A fire way to send and receive secrets/credentials
After some amazing feedback from Indie Hackers and Reddit, I have a new direction for this project.
In my head, the original idea added value to companies but what it ultimately failed to do is increase productivity or workflow.
The direction we are going now is a collaborative credentials store for teams of all sizes and shapes. Rather than sending passwords securely each time you need one why not have a vault where you can store everything for a project instead. The ability to invite guests (think Clients) to individual vaults would allow them to add and access what they need.
A key part of this project will be making sure it is secure and having user/role management will be key. Each account/organisation will have a private key in which their credentials are encrypted.
Long road ahead but I'm going to do all I can to get that MVP and see if we can make a splash in this market.
The landing page is still up https://singleuse.io but I will be updating the copy and name most likely to better reflect the new direction.
After about 6 weeks of development, I thought it about time to put the feelers out and see whether anyone is actually interested in this product.
What I've learned so far...
Something I really struggle with is actually getting something ready for release. I can tinker with a project until the end of days and never get a release out.
Wireframes are a great tool to utilize. If in the beginning, I had properly wireframed the project I would have saved a considerable amount of restructuring time.

The idea of a secret sharing service is nothing new, however, after going through a bit of a security overhaul at my current company we wanted to come up with a solution fit for our agency when it comes to sharing secrets/credentials/API keys.
We wanted to supercharge this frankly quite boring subject with some awesome features that could be useful for any marketing or development agency.
With that in mind, I started a new Notion page and jotted down the ideas we came up with. Most of which are things we would like to have when using the service.

I wanted to create a secure tool to send credentials and secrets based on the need in our own day to day jobs. I want to supercharge secret sharing for your brand.

Hey @zakclayton you may want to correct the title to the right domain extension. There's probably a typo there.
Thank you for pointing that out! Would have never noticed that. :)
