App Store Launch

Today Sipped was launched in the South African App Store (that is the country I am from). I am very excited but know that it is only the beginning of the work ahead. The next steps involve fixing up the one or two bugs that will surely come with the increase in usage and then it on to incorporate the drinks for the UK and USA.

    Congratulation Wayne!
I'd love to know more about where this is going?
What are your monetization and marketing plans?
    Cheers
    Jonathan

Hi @JonathanOron, thank you very much. Monetizing plans are currently a subscription model (often $4.99 / month) that would provide updated machine learning models that help you identify your drinks, also with detailed insights into your drink habits. There is a free trial to use Sipped Pro for two weeks.

Marketing plans are so far ASO, niche communities interaction and Twitter, Instagram etc. There is not a massive push for marketing currently as this was a soft launch in South Africa. The next step is to customise alcohol and drinks for the different markets UK and US.

The future development plans with involve linking Health Kit to the app to correlate fitness and exercise data to the data of alcohol consumption, helping the user better understand how alcohol is affecting their physical wellbeing.

        Very Interesting!
I love your general direction, if I could give you one piece of advice it's - STOP CODING!
You're amazing at it, that's why you're doing it. Now find out if you suck at the rest :)
If you do, get better or find a partner - don't keep "building it" till "they will come".
        Cheers,
        Jonathan

@ycm8 I am an iOS developer by trade so knowing the code base and building it myself really meant a lot to me. Under certain constraints, I couldn't hire an Android developer to build out that side of the platform. Another reason was the relative larger purchasing power or "money spenders" in the iOS world vs the Android world. Maybe the future would hold something different but for now I will continue to build and refine the product on iOS and the greater Apple environment.

    that's cool Wayne,
Is it only for the ios? did you consider androids? if so, why not for both?
