Hey I just launched my side project "Sitebot" - https://thesitebot.com and would like to get some initial Feedback.
Sitebot is a Chatbot that allows you to build your own personal website in a few minutes by just chatting. You can use your personal website as a "online business card " or add it to your social media.

Hey - sounds like a cool concept. I can’t check out your site right now, though 1 quick question -> what problem is your product solving?
Thank you for your message. I want to give non-technical people the ability to create their own virtual business card in a matter of a few minutes without having to use a website builder and/or code!
Hey there :) I'd like to dig in to this more deeply, because I think that it is a (the?) crucial question. There are a lot of other website builders out there, many of which claim to make it easy to build your own site. Is your hypothesis that Sitebot makes it even easier? That the current options out there are still too hard?
Yes exactly. The sites that you can make with Sitebot are very simple but also very easy to make. Users just have to chat with Sitebot as if they were texting their friend. Even though modern website builders are very easy to make, you still have to do some clicking, dragging and dropping etc.
Gotcha, thanks for the response. Have you done any usability studies? Eg. sitting with users as they try to create a site with one of your competitors like Wix, and then sit with them as they try to do so with Sitebot? Those sorts of usability studies seem like they'd be incredibly useful to you, since they're so tied to your main hypothesis.
If you aren't too familiar with user research, I'd highly recommend reading Rocket Surgery Made Easy, and the precursor to that Don't Make Me Think. They're two of my favorite books, and they talk about how user research isn't some big fancy thing that only big companies can do.
Thank you for your response. I haven’t done any usability studies including a competitors product, but that is a great ide.I will also definitely take a look at the books you recommended👍
