Sitebot started as a side project, but after a while, it was evident that converting users to customers was challenging. This led to losing motivation on the project.
I learned many valuable lessons about SaaS and myself, and I'm focusing on other projects.
Started experimenting if a barebones free plan leads to better user acquisition.
After talking with people, I identified that it was hard to understand the product using only words.
sitebot.ai started as a project to research how website testing could be automated. The initial version of Sitebot could automatically login to a website but it was too niche and further development was slow. The new direction for Sitebot is to analyze website users' clicks and automatically create tests based on them.

Sucks to see this shut down. I’d love to hear about where you were at with conversion issues. Would you consider bringing it back online with another hacker helping out?
All of the issues were really related to the fact that I didn't have clear target group that would actually buy the product. I was targeting smaller users and teams that aren't really keen on spending that much, the product could have worked if it were aimed at bigger companies but that brings different challenges.
Honestly, I'm not interested in continuing with this project right now.
I totally understand. Makes sense. Hey, if you’re not interested in continuing, I’d be 100% down with taking over if that’s cool. I’m primarily a Rails dev & looking to level up my other skills. What do you think?
