SixFigureMentorship
Generate $100K+ working remotely from a developing country
I created the product on HackerNews and decided to buy the domain to have a proper landing page related to the community with the Discord URL to join
http://sixfigurementorship.com
I used boostrap cover template and hosted it on Digital Ocean Droplet.
I asked on my twitter what other platform would be useful for the community because the facebook group got almost no activity.
Discord was suggested by followers and decided to start a Discord Server.
I had no experience related to setting up one before but I was really pleased to see you can define different channels (similar to slack)
We helped a young developer to get his FIRST 100% direct remote job with a US company.
Working locally he was earning $500/month. Now working remotely, he will earn $2000/month.
He increased his income by 400%
He followed some pieces of advice like:
- Go back to English lessons to improve his communication skills.
- Improve his CV and linkedin profile.
- Prepare and practice interviews questions and answers.
He was on our database and we knew he was a great fit for the job. When the team manager contacted us, we found a great match for both of them.
I started the #SixFigureMentorship facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1754812558027439/about and started sharing information there.
38 members asked to join in the following months, but with almost no interactions on the info I shared.
I started sharing ideas on twitter under the #SixFigureMentorship hashtag
I also started private messaging with people interested on advice about how to get their first remote job and how to increase their income to reach $100,000 US dollars.
1:1 conversations were taking too much time, so I needed to find a better way
I saw a tweet
"If money wasn’t an issue, what would you like to do as a job?"
I replied
"After retired, I will have a learning platform, to teach third world people how to land 6 figures income without leaving their countries."
I got 3 people interested on the idea, asking to start right now
