December 5, 2022 Skedlo Reloaded MVP ready to launch! ⚡

I am very excited to announce that Skedlo MVP is ready to launch and it is going to be released tomorrow 9:00 AM GMT! 🤩

In its original shape and form Skedlo was a tweet and thread scheduler, unfortunately I shutdown the service two years ago... 😪

but...

Tomorrow Skedlo is going to be released as a growing tool for Twitter which is going to help users to grow their following and their engagement! 🥳

For this MVP the app is going to support two core features:

  • Unreplied mentions feed
  • Distraction-free tweets/thread editor

These two features are going to be the foundation of the entire platform and I am going to add features around them. I have a lot of ideas, like deep analytics, dynamic user lists, improved distraction-free tweets editor... but first I need to validate the MVP and see if there is any kind of interest around this.

This time I completely changed my marketing and building approaches. Instead of building an entire platform in isolation (as I did the first time), this time I decided to build Skedlo in public! I am extremely active in the #buildinpublic community on Twitter and constantly publishing my progress and updates.

I hope that such change of approach is going to help me to be noticed and to see enough traction to keep the lights on and also to keep my motivation high!

Hope to see some activity on my database starting from tomorrow!

Having tried a few Twitter tools for different kinds of "optimisations", my engagement with others was always lacking behind still. Looking forward to see how Skedlo will tackle that exact issue.

Good luck for the launch Andy!

March 17, 2020 First paying customer!

This is just fantastic!

Keilsey is officially the first paying customer of Skedlo!
When I received the notification from Stripe I was just buzzing!
It is only $5/m but still, it is a big achievement for me considering that I released only 5 days ago in a pretty cluttered market.

Skedlo is growing day by day, and it is getting better and better over time. I am gathering as much feedback as possible from all early adopters and thanks to them I am adding features that the users actually need.

I will publish a new post about my pricing structure but for now I offer a 14 days trial and pricing which goes from $5/m for the Entry tier to $34/m for the Pro tier.

Hey there! Did you shut down the app? I'd like to use it

March 13, 2020 Skedlo is on ProductHunt!

I just released a new version which supports storing draft tweets not yet ready to be scheduled.

No more saving your working progress content in text files in Dropbox or setting up spreadsheets on Excel, we offer a simple place where user can save and easily find, all their draft content.

Together with this release, I pushed Skedlo up to ProductHunt!

Would be great if you guys could give Skedlo a try or show some love on PH! THANKS!

March 12, 2020 First 10 users in one week

It is pretty awesome how things are turning out. Today I just reached 10 active users for Skedlo!

I am excited, the platform is currently exposing basic functionalities mainly focused on tweeting tweets and threads, flagging favourite tweets for future retweets and support of multiple Twitter accounts. Drafts management is coming as well very soon.

Even just with these feature, which are actually supported by other competitors as well, I noticed quite a lot of interest into the platform and this obviously gives me a huge boost on keep going and add new features.

A lot is going to come, in my mind Skedlo is going to be much more than just a scheduling platform, I like to think about it as a CMS for Twitter. It's going to be a place where users can manage their entire Twitter content.

I am already working on some unique features which are not offered by anybody in the market, I am getting a lot of support from early adopters, this is going to be fun.

Conversion to paid tiers is still low, but at this stage it is not the priority, I am still at a stage where customer feedback is much more valuable than a subscription fee.

March 7, 2020 Skedlo MVP is ready!

A lot of nights working, designing and testing, but I finally made it!
Skedlo is now ready to start onboarding customers!

This initial phase will be purelly focused on customers onboarding, I will give away Free Pro Subscriptions in the form of Free trials which will be extended for early adopters.

I wasn't sure when was the right time to release my MVP, I am already working on new functionalities, but I guess there is a moment when you just need to push your efforts up live and see how the crowd would react to that!

Still tons of work to do, new features in the pipeline, improve pre existing ones, but the core functionality is there and ready to be used.

I like to think of Skedlo as a living project which gets constantly improved over time. I think this is the only way to keep up with the competition and mainly with the market changes.

New registrations open:

Any feedback would be highly appreciated!

Congrats on the MVP, i'm register for some feedback, First of think take my attention, Sidebar active tag not work properly. And Queue Table not good designed for user experience, i think you can use these page Calendar like design. Anyway this only mvp and here my feedback good luck. if u interest calendar like plugin here to go https://bootsnipp.com/snippets/5MW5M

    1. 1

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I will fix the active selection on sidebar by tomorrow.

Re the queue view, I was almost going to implement the call view a while ago but then I realized which would be pretty confusing to see the tweets preview in there, hence why I went for a list view.

Congrats on the MVP. Seeing how successful PLANN is with >1M revenue per year, seems like a decent idea.

Some of the links on the navigation bar of your landing page are broken (i.e. about and features on the login page). Looks good all around. How long did it take you to make?

    1. 1

Thanks for the heads-up, I will fix them tonight.
It took me 3 months working on it over weekends and nights.

I am offering a free trial of 14 days which would be extended for early adopters.

  4. 1

How does this product differentiates against existing social post scheduling solutions?

    1. 1

      Very good point @v3nom.

I am going to add much more tweets analysis which would allow users to know exactly which tweets are performing better overtime, which tweets generated additional followers and which instead are less productive.

At the moment I am catching up with the other competitors functionalities wise and I am almost there.

Once done, I can start introducing some unique features.

      1. 1

Would it be possible to implement tweet analysis without having post scheduling? I suppose user could choose any post scheduling solution and add your unique analysis engine on top?

        1. 1

Post scheduling is already 90% done.
I have another couple of things to sort out first and then I will move to designing the analysis piece.

      Fair point!
      Done!
We now support Twitter social login which automatically links that Twitter account to your user. Check this out:

February 5, 2020 Twitter thread scheduling feature

This is not an actual milestone, it is more like a status update on where I am with building Skedlo.

I just completed the frontend functionality which allows the user to create a new tweet and start adding replies to it in order to create an entire thread.

The UI allows for maximum flexibility, where tweets in a thread can be removed, moved, updated during the thrrad composition.

I will start uploading screenshots and videos of my progress soon!

February 2, 2020 Landing page now live!

I just launched the landing page for Skedlo and I already see a quite interesting amount of traffic coming in!

At the beginning I thought to complete the entire system before releasing anything, but than I realized that the landing page is something you need from the very beginning.

Marketing your platform on social media like Twitter, trying to create interest in potential customers without an active and functioning website is just wrong and a waste of time. I learned that lesson!

February 1, 2020 Why starting Skedlo

The social media automation tool is a pretty cluttered market with a lot of very similar tools that do the same things just with different names.

In such a competitive market, I just realized that there was still something missing.

Twitter is a great marketing platform for marketers and its very foundation fits perfectly with some serious automation. That's probably why there are so many automation tools out there.

What I still think is missing is some advanced analysis of tweets. A tool that would automatically decide the best tweet to Retweet multiple times over time, not based on some random nonsense, but based on the actual sentiment behind it how good it went went originally published.

I am working hard to bring Skedlo to life, let's see how far I can go...
