After getting into lots of information about how to do e-commerce right I learned that including the shipping cost improves conversion rate, so I now offer free shipping for all products to US, EU, UK and Japan.
I cannot swallow the cost to other countries at the moment

After I got the basic setup done which included my designs I wanted to get more artists on board to fulfill the promise on providing them with a source of income and increasing the variety of designs.

A designer I know from back in the day immediately agreed to provide some designs based on the profit share and cooperation details.

Today I got my first sale from a t-shirt design I have created. I have no idea how this person landed on the store as I haven't gotten any backlinks or advertising so far. Also the conversion rate was unnaturally high as the person visited the store just once and already bought something.

After having started the build with WooCommerce and setting everything up I got more and more unhappy with how slow the platform is and how many plugins I need to install and keep up-to-date.

I decided to re-implement everything with Shopify and the build was very fast plus the performance is great. Also I figured out the whole printing process and ordered some samples with which I was very happy.

The Shirts feel cozy, are unisex and also eco-friendly which is important to me.

The MVP launched with the very basic feature set of an online shop with my own designs.

There are so many great artists out there producing cool graphics, illustrations and nice pieces of art. I want to provide them with a way to generate income while at the same time making people happy with unique t-shirts. The idea of SKINSINK as a curated platform was born.
