Skinvisor
Independent skincare comparator for sensitive skin & French
I built Skinvisor in 48 hours — here's what I learned
Hey IH, I just launched Skinvisor (https://skinvisor.vercel.app), an independent skincare comparator focused on French pharmacy brands and sensitive skin.
The idea came from frustration — "sensitive skin" on a label means nothing, and most review platforms are full of sponsored content or 5-star ratings with no useful detail.
Skinvisor rates products across 4 dimensions: efficacy, texture, hydration and tolerance. Focus on pharmacy brands available across Europe (La Roche-Posay, Avène, Bioderma, CeraVe, SVR, Vichy).
Built with Next.js, Prisma, Supabase, deployed on Vercel. 89 products in the catalogue, 5 SEO guides live, sitemap submitted to Google Search Console.
Still very early — 3 reviews total, all from me. Looking for feedback on the UX and people willing to leave honest reviews of products they already use.
What's working: Reddit community engagement has been solid for awareness. What's not: cold start problem on reviews — classic chicken and egg.
Would love brutal feedback.
About
I built Skinvisor because most skincare reviews are sponsored and "sensitive skin" labels mean nothing. Independent ratings across efficacy, texture and tolerance for French pharmacy brands.
