June 10, 2026 I compared my product to Lovable. Here is what I learned about launch day vs month ten.

Lovable is genuinely impressive. You type a few sentences and a real website appears. I am not going to pretend otherwise.

But I run a web agency on the side, and I have watched what happens to these sites after launch. Around week three, the owner wants to change their hours or fix a typo in a testimonial. That sentence lives inside a React component. So they either prompt the AI again and hope nothing else changes, or they call a developer.

That gap is why I built SleekCMS. The bet is simple: most businesses do not need a web app. They need a website, and a website is mostly content.

With SleekCMS the AI builds your site, but the content lands in a CMS, not in code. Pages, blog posts, team bios, case studies all live in clean forms anyone can edit. The templates are plain HTML. No framework, no build pipeline, no dependencies that rot. HTML written today still works in ten years.

The unglamorous stuff is included because real websites need it:

  • Sitemap, meta tags, and RSS out of the box

  • Forms that work with no backend, presented in a table, with webhooks invoked

  • Roles, so a writer can edit posts without being able to break the site

  • Image transforms, ad free video hosting, clean file links

To be fair to Lovable: if you are building an actual app with logins and dashboards, use Lovable. SleekCMS only makes websites. That is the whole point.

The way I think about it now: AI site builders compete on the first ten minutes. I am competing on the next ten months.

Curious how other founders here think about this. Is "easy to launch" or "easy to live with" the better wedge?

June 7, 2026 Building and launching websites are still hard

Websites are more than just code. It's images, videos, structured content. Content requires collaboration, revisions, translation. It needs to be repurposed for different channels.

The people who work on websites are varied. Developers, writers, designers, marketeers - each of which are independent crafts. And they all have to collaborate on it together.

Most tools are either built for developers or require large investments in setting those up.

SleekCMS solves that. One platform to grow from a single page site to a large multi-site corporate website. Where everyone can collaborate without stepping on each other.

Please give it a try. There will be bugs, glitches. But none that won't be immediately resolved once found.
