Slidekitty

This next iteration included a new discover section where users can quickly view what Slideshows others are viewing as well as the latest trends and statistics of Instagram. We also took this opportunity to launch friendly URLs to individual slideshows and also installed reCaptcha to mitigate bots on our main form.

We launched Slidekitty on Product Hunt and was featured immediately and ended the week at rank #7 of the popular products. We prepared all the branding and marketing copy and material ahead of time and it was great to see that the community really liked what we built. All the feedback we've gotten were supportive and encouraging. We've also gotten some great feedback on how to improve the product as well.

Working with a team of engineers in New York and Asia to build the first version of the app in just under 3 weeks. I am a 2x startup founder and took my knowledge in building product and teams in quickly launch and release the MVP of Slidekitty. This is the first time I'm working entirely with a remote team so it's definitely great learning experience but we pulled it off with constant communication, quick testing and iteration and pulled it off ahead of schedule.

I have always wanted to be able to view our best photos in a large slideshow at home with my wife. Since most of our best photos were always posted on Instagram, immediately I thought of a web based solution. There are a few other terrific solutions out there today that provide a similar functionality, while full featured, we found their offering difficult to understand, not very well designed and can be extremely limiting, particularly the free version. We just wanted something simple that just works, without all the bells and whistles. That is why I built Slidekitty.
