Reviews of the best content for endurance workouts
Rebranded the site as I felt that the slpstream spelling was too confusing and causing me to lose direct traffic.
In addition I wanted the name to convey more of what the site actually does to help people understand it better.
Zone 2 is a term used in physical training to designate an aerobic/easy level of training Z1&Z2 as opposed to Z3, Z4 & Z5 which are intense levels that require focus to execute properly. If you are watching a documentary on the treadmill or listening to a podcast when you run you are intentionally not 100% focused on the task in hand, allowing your mind to wander off with the entertainment. If you are training hard you need to be focused so shouldn't be distracted. Also, most top endurance coaches recommend that athletes train the bulk of their workouts in Z1 or Z2 in order to build volume without risking injury/too much fatigue. Zone 2 is where an endurance athlete (except perhaps the very top ones who would use Zone 1) is usually training.
Review indicates that the site is not creating the content we link to, rather we curate and review the best of the internet.
I used Instapage and their Wordpress plugin. They have a 14 -day free trial so I’m trying that out. I plan to link to this via social and also via a blog I’m setting up to drive traffic to the site. The goal of the landing page is to explain what Slipstream does and get them to try it and understand the features. Any feedback is welcomed! Thanks.

I just finished building an MVP which is now live but I am concerned about my domain name/platform name. I would appreciate any Indie Hackers' opinions.
I had a list of potential names for the platform. It's a human-curated library of workout inspiration (documentaries, podcasts, guided workouts etc.).
My favorite name is "Slipstream" because of the multiple meanings: efficient, time-saving, boosts your effort, aerodynamic etc. Also stream because the video and audio streams, and you can sort of hop into this great stream and get pulled along by it.
The only problem is that all the domains for Slipstream are taken. There aren't any competitors using the domains, they are mostly just held or non-competitive businesses. So I bought slpstream.com without the "i".
I'm concerned I'll lose users because that's harder to recall and they will try to type in Slipstream.com and then get lost and never make it to the site.
Maybe I should add a longer domain like getslipstream.com or goslipstream.com or similar? Maybe it doesn't matter that much if Google indexes the site well?
What are your thoughts?
My second place name was athlyst.com and I have that domain. I liked the combo of catalyst (gets you going), athlete (target audience and aspirational audience), and list because the site lets you make your own playlists to save for later.
The user-feedback I got on that one was that it was too close to "atheist."
Any thoughts based on your gut reactions or experience with a similar issue are much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the feedback so far. I'm keeping slpstream.com no-i as the main domain for now while I go through beta testing. I also bought goslipstream.com and slipstream.life and one more that just came to me as another option stokeengine.com.
If anyone has any further thoughts on the strength of those various names/strategies I'm all ears. Thanks for the input so far. Super helpful.

I think the omitted 'i' works better for recall. Just run 'slipstream' through a namecheap discount search and you'll get a domain for less than $2.00. Domains really aren't important these days, because if the business has value for clients people will find it.

Why not something more to the point of what your startup does, like workmeout.com or motivate.me? Better to have correctly spelt domain names!

I would stay away from both of those since it's really hard to spell it and remember it in general. Why not use something like useslipstream.com or getslipstream.com?
Also maybe there is slipstream.app -

How about using other than a .com?
slipstream.team
slip.streamathlyst.com --- The user-feedback I got on that one was that it was too close to "atheist."
It's hard to spell too.

Thanks so much. Sadly slip.stream is $1300 which doesn't match my boostrapper budget right now. But that is a great idea.
I was able to get slipstream.life which I like. I will have that redirect to slpstream.com and see what people think. If it's easier to remember I'll switch over to that as the main domain.

Sadly slip.stream is $1300
I swear I checked it, and it was $49.00/yr.
Of course, I didn't buy it and posted it as my reply. Now, I checked the name again and says it's taken...
Sorry, bro.I like it --> slipstream.life

Hey no worries. I bet GoDaddy logs searches for names and if there are two unique IPs looking at a name in the space of a few minutes they park it themselves then jack the price. I appreciate your taking a look (and not buying it!). I will check back on that in a few days or weeks and see if it's magically available. Thanks again.

I built an MVP using Wordpress and am looking for feedback on whether you might use it.
It solves a problem I had: wasting precious time searching for a good podcast for an outdoor run or a guided interval workout for indoor cycling.
I don't want to spend $2K on a Peloton bike and I know there's great content out there that's free or available on subscriptions I already have (Netflix etc.) so I don't want to pay a monthly subscription for class access when I workout on the treadmill or bike at home. We cut the cord on cable and try to keep subscriptions to a minimum.
The content on the website is human-curated and it's set up to make it super quick and easy to find what you need. There's also a save for later/bookmark feature for logged in users.
I'm interested in finding out if anyone else has this problem and whether you would use the website. Also if anything is confusing/buggy.
Thanks so much for checking it out.
