SmartDecide
Decide smarter. Compare better.
Hey Indie Hackers
I’ve always found it frustrating trying to choose between similar options — whether it's picking a project management tool, a SaaS platform, or even a new laptop.
You get stuck reading endless blog posts, review sites, and YouTube videos, and still feel unsure.
That's what led me to start working on a tool that helps people compare options more clearly — by focusing on what matters most to them (like price, features, support, etc.).
I’d love to hear:
How do you personally compare things when you're stuck between choices?
Do you use spreadsheets? Pen and paper? Gut feeling?
What factors always matter to you when making a decision?
Let’s swap decision-making strategies — maybe we’ll all learn something useful!
Lately, I kept running into the same issue — whether it was choosing a new laptop, comparing SaaS tools, or evaluating job offers… I'd end up stuck in decision loops.
Dozens of tabs open. Tons of review sites. Endless overthinking.
I kept asking myself:
What if I could actually compare the things that matter to me — side by side — in a simple, structured way?
That led me to build a lightweight system:
I could list out my options, define what mattered (like performance, pricing, features), assign weights based on priority, and let it calculate scores for each.
It started simple, but it honestly changed how I think through decisions.
Once I could see the trade-offs clearly, the overwhelm dropped — and confidence went up.
Now I’m curious how others handle this…
How do you deal with too many options?
Do you use your own systems, frameworks, or tools?
Ever hit decision fatigue while building or launching?
Would love to hear your approach — especially from other indie hackers juggling 100 things at once.

I’ve always found it frustrating trying to compare things online — whether it’s phones, software, or finance tools. Too many tabs open, endless reviews, and still walking away unsure what’s best for me.
So I started building SmartDecide — a tool that helps you compare anything side-by-side, based on the features and factors you actually care about.
It’s still early days, but I’m learning fast and would love any thoughts or feedback from the community!

About
I started SmartDecide because comparing products always felt overwhelming. I wanted a simple tool that highlights what actually matters — not just specs or reviews, but personal priorities.

Decision paralysis is so real actually...
Great tool idea! I usually make lists of pros and cons and prioritize based on my needs. Curious to try SmartDecide!
