Smile Financials
Mobile reader for public financial statements
Launched splash page at https://smilefinancials.com.
Learned how to use Carrd.co for splash pages. While it was easy and quick to use it is lacking some polish and I think I'll use a different tool next time.
Also started the form out with just first name and phone number but quickly realized that I really wanted to know who was signing up so I could treat them differently, know which channels were working etc. and that despite it being nice to only have two fields I at least needed last name as well.
Built a prototype that shows that you can indeed scrape the SEC site for new S-1's, tweak their styles, and render them natively in iOS.
Also found that this will work for quarterly and annual financial documents from sec.gov which I believe will be more lucrative in the long run.

I dabble in investing and love business in general. Whenever I've read public company S-1's however I've wanted to poke my eyes out, with how poor of an experience it is on the sec.gov page.
