Added the ability for a customer to trigger a backup via a curl POST request making integrations into 3rd party services easier, like CI/CD Deployments.
Customers can define the tags of their backups so they act just like normal scheduled backups, (daily, weekly, monthly).
More and more customers are wanting there data secure in two or more locations.
We have releases a feature that allows you to sync your key buckets from one s3 location to another. That could be one provider to another. Or just to a different account the choice Is all in the users hands.
Here at SnapShooter, we love data. We love moving it around and we love analyzing it to see where we can make our processes and services more efficient. We’ve been working on some new tools lately to allow you to see some of your server’s key performance indicators while you run a SnapShooter backup.
Running a backup takes server resources: namely CPU cycles, RAM and networking bandwidth. Being able to know how much and when these resources are used is a critical piece of data - and we have added this data right to our SnapShooter platform.

From our power customers, it became clear they wanted sperate backups for all of there Laravel Forge sites, some of them run servers with 10+ sites running per server. Setting up individual backups per server was a pain.
We released multi laravel forge backups where we log in to the server, scan for all of the laravel websites and then perform backups.
This one was more of a personal requirement and something I have had written on the list of backup types to add for a while.
We can now backup UniFi cloud-based controllers. This is great if like me you like your Controller to be hosted.
Launched 3 years, 10 months, 14 days ago as a simple solution to improve DigitalOcean backups.
We now support a wide range of backups types!
Over 110PB worth of backups! Millions of snapshots and backups, thousands of users and hundreds of customers.

We are very proud to announce the release of file backups on SnapShooter.
File backups allow you to choose which files and directories you wish to backup directly on your server and where to store the backup with a provider of your choice.
One of the main advantages of this is downloadable backups which we know it's a feature a lot of our customers have required from us. We have never been able to offer it with DigitalOcean Snapshots due to a limitation with DigitalOcean and them providing no ability for us or you to download them.
The file backup feature also unlocks the ability for our customers to be able to backup services from any provider they wish, if the server can b accessed publicly via SSH as we can connect and process backups.
File backups are another bring your own backup storage offering (we are planning to add our own too to make setup easier in the future). Customers can choose the provider you wish, currently supporting AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces and Wasabi.
File backups are the latest backup type we support in a long list of features and improvements we have planned to release this year.
We are very proud to announce we added support for dedicated MySQL backups on SnapShooter.
This works with droplets and managed databases as well as any server accessible over ssh.
It's been a long time in the planning and as part of the release we optimised a bunch of code to enable faster feature development in the future.
