SnapTrack
Automated website screenshots & visual change tracking
As a solo developer, I’ve used plenty of monitoring tools for uptime and performance.
They’re great at telling you when a site is down — but not when it looks wrong.
More than once, I shipped changes that were technically “fine”:
✔️ server up
✔️ build successful
✔️ no errors
But layouts broke, UI states changed, or content shifted without me noticing.
Usually I found out after users complained — or worse, not at all.
I started taking manual screenshots before and after deployments,
but that quickly became tedious and inconsistent.
So I built SnapTrack.
It automatically captures screenshots of websites on a schedule or via custom scenarios,
tracks visual changes over time, and keeps a complete visual history.
The goal is simple: catch visual regressions early without heavy tools or manual checks.
It’s still early, but it’s already helping me feel more confident after deployments.
Would love feedback from others:
– How do you currently catch visual bugs?
– Is visual monitoring something you’ve struggled with too?
About
I built SnapTrack because existing monitoring tools focus heavily on uptime and metrics, but often miss visual changes that actually affect users. As a developer, I’ve shipped updates that looked fine technically but b
