Make pretty code screenshot with gradients
When on vacation, I got the itch for a side project. I've been toying around with this idea for a little while now, but it was always way too complicated. However, I still thought it was a useful idea. There are existing solutions, but they are more complex and don't offer easy, good looking gradients that I wanted. I also wanted to use React once again (since my day job involves Angular).
So I cut down the scope and started programming. I had a working version pretty quick, and all in it took a weekend to get to an MVP. The next few days were spent optimizing stuff (server-side rendering, bug fixes, cleaning up the code). After that, I just decided to put it on ProductHunt, which drove some initial traffic.
