After months of late-night coding, weather API tweaking, and far too much coffee — I’ve finally launched something I’ve always wanted to build. That is Snow Day Predictor Web tool

It’s a simple but powerful AI-based tool that predicts the chances of school snow days using real-time weather data, temperature drops, and historical snowfall trends.

I built this because growing up, I always wondered:

“Will tomorrow be a snow day?”

And let’s be honest — even adults secretly love that feeling of waking up to fresh snow!

How It Works

• Pulls live weather data from multiple sources

• Analyzes temperature, humidity, and precipitation patterns

• Uses a trained AI model to predict the probability of a snow day (%) for the next day

It’s currently being used by students, parents, and teachers to plan ahead — and so far, the feedback’s been awesome. 🙌

My Biggest Lesson

Building this wasn’t just about code — it was about understanding human excitement around weather.
I realized people love the anticipation of snow as much as the snow itself.
So I made sure the UI feels fun, simple, and easy to use, even for kids.

What’s Next

I’m now planning to:

• Add regional accuracy tuning for the U.S., U.K., and Canada

• Create an embeddable widget for schools

• Launch a mobile-friendly version soon
