Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been freelancing for several years, working with multiple clients and billing hourly. And honestly, one problem kept coming up again and again:
Tracking time and turning that into invoices… was always more painful than it should be.
I tried a lot of tools. Most of them were:
Built for teams, not individuals
Packed with features I never needed
Overcomplicated for something so simple
All I really wanted was:
👉 Track my time easily
👉 Turn those hours into an invoice
👉 Send it and get paid
But I kept ending up with spreadsheets, notes, or clunky systems that slowed me down.
So I decided to build my own solution.
It’s called SoarBill — a simple WEB app (with a Chrome extension that is almost finished) that lets you track your time and instantly generate invoices from those entries.
No complex setup. No enterprise features. Just the essentials that freelancers actually need.
I’m building this primarily for:
Freelancers
Contractors
Hourly workers
Basically anyone who bills for their time and wants less friction.
Right now, I’ve put together an early version and a demo video, and I’d love to get feedback from people who’ve faced the same problem.
