SocialVault
Decentralized, encrypted storage for Facebook data
I originally built SocialVault to participate in Blockstack's Can't Be Evil hackathon. https://blockstack.devpost.com/. There were around 300 participants in total, but SocialVault made it to 3rd place for "Most Dappy" !
There's no big crazy prize or anything, but it's nice to have small wins like this when you're just getting started.
To my great surprise, I saw that Socialvault was on the homepage of HackerNews . This was shocking because usually my HN launches go completely nowhere, and lost in the void. I actually even got shadowbanned from HN for 'spam' or something after I reposted a product that got no love the first time.
I never expected to make it into the homepage with this, and ended up getting around 1000 views from HN alone.

Launched on ProductHunt, and got onto the homepage for about half of the day. Got a couple hundred users from this. Didn't do any crazy marketing or anything for the most part. I shared it on twitter, though I don't think much people saw that. The ProductHunt twitter account did tweet about it though. Perhaps ProductHunt just wasn't the perfect audience for something like this.

This makes it easier for people to delete their Facebook accounts, since they can now take their memories with them.
