TL;DR

So far the fate of the lifetime pricing deal on Spaces for macOS has been determined based on what stage, i.e., based on learnings from the customer and the product development I am in:

• Idea believers paid $5 only. (SOLD OUT 🙏)
• Early adopters currently paying $8 only.

After having 35+ paying users I've moved Spaces for macOS from private beta to pubic beta.

As a part of public beta, I am testing new pricing where a user can try the app for $2 only. (1 month free usage)

Goal: Reduce the entry barrier to try out the app.

If users like to continue the app they can simply pay the difference + they are automatically eligible for early adopter pricing which is $8 only instead of retail price: $15-$29 🥳

One of the highly requested feature asked by beta users were Deeplinks is available for the users.

tl;dr

Deeplink is a way to open an app from another app or website to trigger an action within the app.

For example, deeplinks are often used in notifications in many apps, but they can also be used in other places.

Deeplinks for "Spaces for macOS" can be used in:

• Siri shortcuts app: You can trigger a workspace when you run a shortcut.
• Calendar app: Open a calendar and save the deeplink in a meeting event so you don't forget to activate the workspace when the meeting time comes around.
