Sparetoolz
Peer-to-peer tool rental application for iOS.
We have been working hard to build up our community and it's time to release to the world. This is a 100% native iOS app. We are bringing tool sharing directly to your fingertips. A lot of heavy lifting went into this.
We are using Stripe connect to facilitate payments and provide security for our users!

Hey guys - just wanted to share the project that my agency has been working on for a while now and we are in open beta. We discovered a missing piece to the sharing economy so we decided to build this beast ourselves.
If you'd like to test it out, go to www.sparetoolz.com and sign up. Any feedback is appreciated. Cheers!

Sparetoolz was founded as the innovative answer to a frustrating problem. In 2016, I was working on a home improvement project with my Dad. We were trying to install natural stone onto a fireplace, but learned that they needed a wet-saw. Nothing else could cut stone that thick. I jumped online to search for a solution.
Dumbfounded, I discovered that there was no app to share tools. Instead, I found that renting one from a big box home improvement store would cost $150/day. The price for a brand new one was $450. Calculating that they’d need it for just over 3 days, they decided to bite the bullet and buy it. When the project was over, I found myself stuck with a large tool that I probably wouldn’t use again.
I encountered this problem over and over as my dad and I embarked on a series of home improvement projects. Each time, I knew there HAD to be a solution.

There is no peer-to-peer tool rental application on iOS. Peoples tools are just collecting dust in their garage. It's a real problem I experienced myself so I decided to make an app and bring it to the sharing economy.
