After almost 1 year that I didn't work on the project. Mostly for personal reasons, I checked my analytics this morning and saw around 20-30 daily users.

So I decided to do some optimization and maybe get some monetization going.

Since I don't want ads on the page, I decided to integrate a donate button after saving your playlist.

5 minutes later I got my first donation. 🥳

After several attempts of getting a result I felt ok to publish and a few surrenders I finally did it.

I tweaked the layout and the legal texts. Removed Google ads for now, since they told me I have to few text, changed tracking to my Matomo instance, and voilá I'm ready to publich my product and tell people about it.

October 1, 2017 I have an idea

I was creating a playlist on Spotify, going through pages of artists adding a few songs from one artist, a few songs from the next artist and so on. But I didn't want the playlist to look like this.

So I checked if Spotify had an API and they did. So I started writing Spotify Shuffler to shuffle my playlists.

Since I wanted to learn Vue.js anyway, I decided to use it as my JS Framework.

I finished a first rough version and then lost interest in pursuing it further.

About

I was annoyed by Spotify's "Random" feature, because there were still a lot of repeats without playing most of the songs in a playlist. I built Spotify Shuffler to randomize my playlists and help others do so too.
