May 18, 2020 Spotista reached 50 subscribers today πŸŽ‰

Okay, I know it's not much, but I'm quite happy about it.

I launched it in a sort of beta version around 6 weeks ago and I have mainly been talking about it here, on Twitter and with some close friends, but still haven't strongly promoted it.

I have to admit it feels quite exciting when people you don't personally know sign up for something you have created.

Here are some numbers:
πŸ‘₯ 50 users
πŸ—Ί 17 different countries (that is awesome for me!)
πŸ“₯ ~4k daily calls to Spotify's API

Right now I'm busy with other stuff and I can't actively work on the project, but I plan to keep on adding new features and improving the overall design.

If you are reading this and are already a subscriber, thank you very much! Feel free to reach out with any feedback you might have.

If you are not a subscriber yet, why don't give it a try? You will receive daily, weekly and/or monthly reports on your Spotify listening statistics.

Let's keep on rocking! πŸͺ• (a banjo emoji cause, why not, a guitar is too mainstream)

Congrats Elies! Yesterday I reached my first 5 subscribers and felt excited! There has been some tweets saying the first 100 users took like 1 year, then, next 100 took 3 months. It's an exponential growth!

Thanks so much Leo! I agree it might be tricky and slow at the beginning but I guess it's important to keep working hard and not give up! Just subscribed to 'Before90s', very interesting approach!

        Thanks Elies!

April 6, 2020 Launching Spotista (in alpha, beta, or whatever)!

Today I'm (I guess officially) launching Spotista, a Spotify statistics newsletter. Think about it as a sort of Spotify Wrapped but delivered more often (even daily if you wish so).

Since the moment you sign up, it monitors your listening history in order to produce analytics on your listening habits. So far the information that it provides you with is rather basic (top artists, top songs and total listened minutes of that period), but the idea is to keep on adding more sophisticated pieces of information.

That's why I'd love if you could test it out and get back to me with some feedback on what you'd like it to include, what you might not like, some suggestions, etc.

You can sign up for it via https://spotista.xyz.

Thank you for reading me! I'm very excited to be sharing it with the IH community:)

About

I'm a big fan of Spotify Wrapped, the annual report that Spotify sends at the end of the year, which features some cool statistics regarding your music listening habits. That's why I created Spotista.
