Privacy-focused web and product analytics.
This just launched our Event Tracking feature for Squeaky 🎉
Event tracking allows our customers to automatically capture any activity on their site, including page visits, button or text clicks, javascript errors, and any other custom event they want.
The use cases are fairly limitless, and so far customers have been using the feature for things like:
- Monitoring engagement and tracking user activation
- Comparing the performance of various features and pages
- Track errors and bugs to gauge their impact
It's been live for a few weeks already, but we've just added our latest feature to the Squeaky marketing website!
The Journeys feature shows you exactly where your visitors are going after viewing any page on your site, or how they got there 🙂

We woke up today to discover that we’ve reached an amazing internal milestone: we have now captured over 1,000,000 session recordings for our customers! There were over 1 billion events captured in that time, across around half a million unique visitors on all sites!
Hopefully we'll look back on this number in years ahead and laugh at how small it was, but right now it feels like an incredible achievement!
After 6 months of beta testing with 40 companies and 80 users we finally had the confidence to incorporate and adding billing. Little did we know that that would take 2 months longer than planned due to the nightmarish bureaucracy involved in setting up a bank account for the company in the Netherlands when one of the founders is living in the UK 😅.
So, two months later than planned, we're out of Beta!

After 4+ months of beta testing and validating our product with users we finally had the confidence to incorporate as a legal entity - Squeaky B.V. (which is the Dutch equivalent to a US Inc, or UK LTD).
Incorporating is not a straightforward decision in the Netherlands, as it costs a lot of money to register a business here, so we took a little longer than we first planned, but we felt really confident we were ready!
Next step, set up banking and subscriptions 😬

Our first website was a hastily assembled Wordpress site with a few screenshots and feature lists. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't doing our product justice.
With that in mind, we went back to the drawing board and reimagined our site in a way that better showed off our features, clarified our value proposition/the pain points we addressed, and made sure we had content tailored to suit the different target users that Squeaky can help.
Along the way things snowballed a little and it also became a mini-rebrand, probably not necessary...but sometimes you just do these things for the enjoyment of it!

We've opened Squeaky up for beta testing after 8 weeks of hard work!
Alpha testing was super helpful in getting us to something stable and useful, now it's time to bring more users in and learn as much as we can whilst ironing out the creases!
