Used NoCode to build and launch StackBord
Here's 🥇 the Winning no-code Stack
There is not much you cannot build with this stack 👇
-
Bubble - the engine behind the StackBord app. The add/edit/update/delete handling of all records, user dashboard and member management functionalities are all done by Bubble. Extensive use of workflows, triggers and API endpoints is made to seamlessly integrate Bubble with;
-
Airtable - all created and edited records are posted to Airtable for record keeping and deleted records backup management. I’ve set up the app so that deleted Stacks and Products are removed from the Bubble db and marked as deleted in Airtable which then pop up for manual deletion after 7 days in a dedicated View.
-
Webflow - used for front-end UI design and animations. Syncing of data between Bubble and Webflow’s CMS is done by custom API Connectors in Bubble (very simple to set up but a bit time-consuming due to various JSON data format and Webflow-specific peculiarities).
🍪s! As a final touch I’ve also added a cookie script in Bubble to generate cookies once a user is logged in which is then read by Webflow to adjust the NavBar button visibilities accordingly.
StackBord makes it easy to post your setup (aka Stack), list what’s in it and earn affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases.
The platform disrupts the common affiliate-marketing-in-a-blog model where the publisher takes all the profits by giving our users a simple and quick way to post their product stacks to share with their audiences whilst earning affiliate commissions.
The idea for StackBord was born after I started to WFH full-time and became interested in how others have set up their Home Offices. I was getting plenty of inspiration and ideas for my own setup from the amazing ones I found (check out r/battlestations!) however most of the setups I found left me with a question mark - what exact products are in them - and where can I buy them??
My first reaction was to set up the common affiliate-marketing-in-a-blog site and start posting the stacks I found complete with linked product lists.
Then Andrew Chen posted on twitter his cool Zoom Videoconferencing setup and within the comments lots of people were asking for the details - what’s in it and where could they buy it?
That was my aha moment and the idea for StackBord materialised.
