February 26, 2020 Country filters

Finally! Stackmatch is detecting up to +250 different countries.

If you're not planning to move from your current location it's time to setup your flag and filter for the relevant roles in your country.

This will help a lot for short and long tail SEO.

February 24, 2020 Country Flags

So, this might feel like a small update but a lot of reworking behind the scenes was needed for this.

Before, the board was only Remote/No-Remote. Today I added the necessary models, updated the crawlers and the UI so it is classified by country.

It is a small addition but this would allow for better filters and improve the location based SEO.

TO DO

  • Add country filters
  • Add sublocations for popular countries (US, UK, AUS .... )

February 19, 2020 Stack Selector (Mobile)

Hey there! Lately i've been trying to deliver the best experience for mobile users.

If you haven't notice the filter button on the sticky bar wasn't working, (it was only a placeholder tbh) but now it is fully implemented.

Mobile users, would be great to hear some feedback about that function.

Tip: If you want to save your stack so you don't have to select it everytime, just login. 100% free. ( It supports Github OAuth) :D

February 18, 2020 Dark Theme (Mobile)

I was busy working on other project, but fortunately I found the time to implement dark mode to the mobile version of the site.

The mobile version still has some missing features i.e. filter selection is missing and post a job is unusable.

Next steps are getting those to work on the mobile version.

Also, I still don't know why but there's a bug when loading the page for the first time, it loads the unresponsive desktop version.
I'll take a look on this.

February 16, 2020 Dark Theme (Desktop Only)

I know I should be working on more important features instead of adding this kind of stuff.

As a developer I usually find myself browsing these type of content after a long day, and the colorful and brightful site was hurting my eyes.

Stackmatch now supports light-dark mode on Desktop, I'll add mobile tomorrow.

Just toggle the option on the upper right corner.

February 13, 2020 Setting up my project on IndieHackers

So, it all started when I was looking for developer jobs and I didn't found any good one...

Just kidding, there are a HUGE amount of job boards on the net, from low quality to high quality for any purpose and every industry. So why we need a new one ?

In the last few years I had worked on big companies, small companies, freelance, start new projects, work on a startup, start my own startup, failed my own startup and apply to a lot of remote and on-site companies.

And from all those experiences, the most hated activity that I had done is looking for job descriptions.

Skimming through a lot of looooooong and boring job descriptions is painful and time consuming, and so applying and getting rejected just because you're not a good fit is disheartening.

Stackmatch reads and classifies all the Highest Quality jobs from the most curated sources, so you only apply to the most fitting roles, without the hassle of spending many time reading job descriptions and applying to low-probability opportunities.

Just select your most loved skills and the engine will highlight the best jobs for you.
