Kevin White, the Head of Growth at Segment, signed up on MarTechGurus.com to share the marketing technology stack they use! This is a big accomplishment for me and MTG after signing up Jotform last week! This validates how useful MarTechGurus can be for MOPs (Marketing Operations professionals) out there, to help them discover and learn from the best marketing ops people in that industry. February 13, 2020 Rebranded StackrApp with MarTechGurus.com

I realized that people would not remember how to spell StackrApp and would end up on the wrong website. I also wanted to change the colours and enhance the community aspect of the platform. It took a whole weekend, but on Monday morning the new brand was up and running. So far the feedback as been great.

Signed up my first 25 users leveraging Indie Hackers and other Beta types of communities. Not my ideal customers, but was able to get a few really good users who provided a lot of feedback which helps me planning future development initiatives. Still no revenue (and that's okay).

After a few months of using the app with my own team at work, made a list of improvements that would help me better manage my stacks which i will work on over the Summer. The biggest one being a way to set renewal alerts and monthly email notifications for upcoming contract renewals. Planning to re-engage with users and promote StackrApp after this is in place during Summer 2019.

Was at work and realized i had a problem with managing our technology stack information: list of apps, owners, renewal dates, training, login info, documentation, etc. Starting to research and talk to possible users.

About

I created MTG to scratch my own itch: i needed a tool to inventory all of the marketing tools my team and i use, in an environment much more powerful and scalable than spreadsheets.
