Yes! I didn't think we'd actually make it this far but Photalitarian is now MVP feature complete! Our aim was to go from Idea to Customer in one week and we are now Customer-ready. This is where YOU come in!

Note: *We're still finalising USA print partners so it's not yet at parity with other countries: USA books will be Softcover only and the shipping isn't free. We're trying to fix this.

Wow - a bit late with this update - we've had so much to do. Stripe came through and we've stitched in real payments (no orders yet). Tidied up the book builder, allowed image sorting, saving, and deleting. We've added basic internationalisation support, with English and (partial) French translations and multiple currencies.
It's looking good and like something you might buy a book from, hint hint!
We've stitched together a photo loader and sorter, leaning heavily on components from Cloudinary and PixxiBook, so that you can construct a mini photo book, preview it, and advance to check out. Some hiccups with Stripe at the moment but hopefully they will authorize our live keys soon - no time to waste!
More and more is being pushed to "out of scope." So the cover style is pretty basic, order fulfilment will be by hand and I'm not even sure if the French language version will be included!

This is really cool. Love print media and you're right, holiday snaps on your phone are a poor user experience. Small formatting the product is a great idea and simplifying the process carves out a niche. I would definitely use this and I'm not just saying that. I wonder what Day 4 will bring?

It's now Day 4 and the site is working and you can actually buy a photobook now (in theory). Though how the cover will turn out is still a bit of a mystery. Day by day it should improve though and we should soon have personalisable covers and colours.

With the market research in, we've decided to focus on pocket-sized photo books. And decided on a name.... Photalitarian!
Today we've sketched out the site and messaging with a home page and mock-up book builder. Check it out, it's live at https://photalitarian.com
We arrived with a bunch of ideas and together sorted them down to a bunch of photo related ideas. Miniature photo books, posters, stickers etc. Fairly simple products that fit within our capabilities and should be doable within a week.
We need to name the company, do some market research and get building!
