August 2, 2026 Why Every AI Power User Needs a Token Tracker: Meet Stataz

Artificial Intelligence has transformed the way we work. Whether you're using ChatGPT to write code, Claude to analyze documents, or Gemini for research, AI has become an everyday productivity tool.

But as our AI usage grows, one important question often goes unanswered:

How many tokens am I actually using?

For developers, founders, students, marketers, and researchers, token usage directly affects API costs, productivity, and usage limits. Yet most AI platforms don't provide a unified way to monitor your consumption across multiple AI tools.

That's exactly why Stataz was built.

You can install it here:

What is Stataz?

Stataz is an AI workspace manager that helps you organize and understand how you use AI every day.

Instead of switching between ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini while trying to remember your conversations or estimate your token usage, Stataz brings everything into one clean workspace.

It currently supports:

  • ChatGPT

  • Claude

  • Gemini

and automatically keeps track of your AI activity while you work.

The Problem with AI Usage Today

Most AI users experience at least one of these problems:

  • No idea how many tokens they're consuming

  • Difficult to estimate API costs

  • Losing important conversations

  • Rewriting the same prompts repeatedly

  • No centralized AI workflow

When you're using multiple AI platforms throughout the day, these small inefficiencies quickly become major productivity bottlenecks.

Token Tracking That Actually Helps

The standout feature of Stataz is its real-time token tracking.

Instead of guessing how much you're spending or how close you are to platform limits, Stataz provides visibility into your usage while you're chatting.

It helps you understand:

  • Daily token consumption

  • Estimated AI cost

  • Usage history

  • Platform-wise statistics

  • Model detection

  • Progress toward daily limits

This is especially useful if you're:

  • Building AI products

  • Using OpenAI APIs

  • Managing Claude usage

  • Working with Gemini regularly

  • Optimizing AI costs for your team

June 20, 2026 I built a Chrome extension that saves your prompts, bookmarks AI chats, and tracks token usage — across ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini

I'm a solo developer from Lucknow, India. A few months ago I hit a wall with my daily AI workflow.

I was juggling ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini every single day — and the same three things kept breaking my focus:

I'd write a really good prompt, use it once, and it'd be buried in chat history forever. I'd have an important AI conversation and lose it the moment I closed the tab. And I had absolutely no idea how many tokens I was burning through — or what it was costing me.

I looked for a tool that fixed all three. Nothing existed that worked across all three platforms together.

So I built Stataz.

It's a free Chrome extension that sits quietly on top of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini and gives you:

— A prompt library where you save your best prompts and inject them into any platform in one click. No more copy-pasting from Notion or a notes file.

— A bookmark manager to save important AI conversations and find them instantly — filtered by platform, searchable, always accessible.

— A live token tracker that shows your usage and estimated cost in real time as you chat, with a 7-day history.

Built it solo over a few months. Currently at 9 users. Completely free, no account needed, works automatically the moment you install it.

I'd genuinely love feedback from this community — what resonates, what's missing, and what would make this a tool you actually keep installed.

About

I kept losing important AI conversations with no way to save them, and I was copy-pasting the same prompts across platforms daily from a notes file. No existing tool unified all three platforms. So I built Stataz myself
