StatusBird
Uptime monitoring built for e-commerce store owners
We built StatusBird after watching store owners lose thousands to Stripe
outages they didn't even know were happening.
Most monitoring tools are built for engineers. StatusBird is built for the
store owner running a flash sale on a Saturday afternoon when Stripe goes down
and has no idea.
StatusBird monitors 75+ services (Stripe, Shopify, Klaviyo, ShipStation, and
more) every 2 minutes and texts or emails you the moment something breaks.
$29/mo flat, 7-day free trial.
Would love any upvotes, feedback, or brutal honesty from the IH community —
what would make you actually pay for this?
About
Every uptime tool is built for engineers. StatusBird is built for store owners who find out about Stripe outages from angry customers, not monitoring tools.

It is incredibly stressful when you're running a major sale and everything looks fine on your end while your customers are quietly hitting checkout errors that you don't discover until hours later.
Most store owners don't realize that standard uptime monitors only check if their own site is live but completely miss when third-party APIs like payment gateways or shipping calculators are failing in the background.
Are you looking into adding a feature that automatically places a "Service Alert" banner on the storefront during an outage so customers know it is a temporary provider issue and not a problem with the brand itself?
