Stay the Week
Share your home with the people you know
I got the idea for Stay the Week after my wife and I were invited to spend the weekend at the lake house of my sister's in-laws. I emailed them two weeks in advance with the dates we would like to stay. They said that was fine and to have a relaxing time on the lake. The drive was over two hours to get to the lake house. The sun was setting and my wife and I unloaded our bags and groceries from the car and started to cook dinner. Just as we were sitting down to eat, the front door opened. It was the in-law's other son, his wife, and their kids. The in-laws forgot to tell him that we were staying there that weekend. It was no big deal as well all knew each other well and we ended up having a nice weekend together. After we had gotten home, I found out that this has happened more than once. The in-laws had kept forgetting who was staying at the house, and couldn't keep track of the emails and text messages. I built Stay the Week for homeowners who share homes with friends and family but do not want the complexity or public exposure of Airbnb-style marketplaces. The goal is simple: private invites, easy booking, blackout dates, and a better experience for trusted guests. If you own a cabin, beach house, lake house, or second home and still coordinate stays by text and email, this is for you.
