Steambase
Data aggregator for the Steam network.
This one has been a long time coming, but was finally able to get shipped late this evening. With this launch, I have about 30 new pages going live all with trackers around the major and minor steam sale events.
The goal here is again is to provider useful info to people looking for deals on game and searching for sales.
Just launched a much requested feature from early feedback we've gotten from users — a search experience. Previously, it was a pretty challenging experience for users to find a specific game they are looking for.
Now, we have a super quick search dialog live which lets users find anything and everything on Steam. Over the upcoming weeks, the plan is to monitor sessions times to see what kind of impact this has had.
Wanted to share a big win — got a recent backlink from the Cloudflare workers domain by submitting to their directory for products created with their workers platform. So far, no immediate change in rankings but am excited to see how this impacts the site on google serps.

This will be the first of many insight pages planned for commonly searched terms like "free games on steam" and "steam games on sale". This page proved to be pretty straightforward to get live due to some upfront time invested in the API.
Very excited to be able to spin out more of these pages as I believe they will be quite useful.

Does all your revenue come from ads?
While in bot building mode, I decided to go forward with keeping velocity high and shipping another third-party. This time it was a slack app with the exact same discord functionality ported over.
There's less gaming communities on slack, so I am not expecting much but figured it is still an easy move for continuing to build the Steambase brand.

Just like the title mentions, I went forward this evening being able to completely build and ship a basic version of a Discord bot which will enable game communities to install and easily pull up game stats for their favorite and most followed games.
The goal here is of course to build traffic but hope it plays a large part in increasing brand recognition going forward.
A big push to make useful pages on the Steambase site was just wrapped up. The major goal here is to server searcher intent for big terms like "Free Steam Games" and "Best Steam Games".

We just launched Steambase today on product hunt! Honestly was not expecting much but saw a pretty significant uptick in user traffic and more upvotes than I was expecting.
Looking forward to the future and building the remaining features necessary.
The site is setup for a soft launch where every game on the Steam store or Steam network can now be displayed dynamically on the site and the polishing has been done to get it in a state to go live on the web.
Excited to continue building the next set of data pipes and surfacing more useful data to games and developers.
